Hydrology network WMS

WMS-tjenesten inneholder 2 datasett basert på NVEs nasjonale elvenettverksdatabase(ELVIS). Det ene datasettet inneholder en generalisert utgave av ELVIS der kun hovedelver(slik de er definert i REGINE) er representert.

I ELVIS er alle vassdragselementer representert som linjer i et nettverk som inneholder informasjon om strømningsretning. Hvert enkelt linjesegment er tilordnet et entydig nasjonal løpenummer (strekn_lnr). Alle linjesegmentene er kodet i henhold til SOSI, dvs. at man skille ulike typer vassdragsobjekter fra hverandre ved å se på linjetema.
