Statement

The postcode boundaries can be found in the Cadastre and determine the postcodes of all addresses. Municipalities are unable to change the postcode boundaries – this is done by Norway Post. If changes have to be made, these are collected together for annual implementation on 1 October every year. Besides this, minor monthly maintenance takes place in development areas, for example, and this means that the postcode boundaries are not static.
