The dataset was established following implementation of the Act of 6 June 2009, no. 35 on natural areas in Oslo and nearby communities ("Markaloven"). The dataset has been updated since the Council of State established a regulation on adjustment of the boundaries of natural areas in Oslo and nearby communities in 47 places in 11 municipalities on 4 September 2015.
*Completeness:* The dataset is complete. Changes are made only by legislative decisions or amendments to regulations. The legislative decision and regulatory decision are entered in the database.
*Positioning accuracy:* Requirements concerning accuracy when collecting data are important in order to achieve data collection that is as consistent as possible. Always aiming to achieve data that is as accurate as possible is preferred. The quality of the boundaries in the dataset varies, from detailed property boundaries to boundaries digitised from small-scale maps (Norway 1:50,000).
*Attribute accuracy:* If geometry is taken from other bases, the quality must follow the geometry. For example, if basic data is retrieved from N50 or FKB, the quality coding from this data will be retained. The attribute accuracy is dependent on the data source and will vary.
*Timing accuracy:* The attribute **forskriftsFastsettingsdato** is used as the date when the document was written, published or revised. The attribute **forskriftsIkrafttredelsesDato** is used as the date when the document came into force. The attribute **lovFastsettingsmyndighet** is used as the date when a public body established a boundary. The attribute **lovFastsettingsdato** is used as the date when the document was written, published or revised. The attribute **forskriftsIkrafttredelsesDato** indicates when the data was added to the database.
*Logical consistency:* The data follows the rules in the product specification.
