Ortofoto Trysil flom 2014
Ortofoto har samme geometriske egenskaper som et kart og kan knyttes til et referansesystem. Ortofoto er inndelt i ulike ortofotostandarder egnet til forskjellige formål. «Rektifiserte flybilder» er vanligvis et midlertidig produkt, som benyttes under arbeidet med kontroll av kartkonstruksjonen. De er derfor av dårligere kvalitet enn endelige ortofoto. Rektifiserte flybilder ertstattes av endelige ortofoto når disse er produsert fra konstruksjonsbildene. Bakkeoppløsning varierer fra 0,04 m – 0,20 m.
