The dataset is important in many different contexts in connection with planning and administration of coastal areas.
It is used when preparing municipal coastal zone plans and zoning plans, and in regional plans as well. It is an important theme for balancing interests when dealing with applications for sea initiatives. E.g. quay facilities, marine pipelines and aquaculture.
